Comment of the Day
i couldn't believe it, i come on here, and there are no comments about Sassoon!!!! not only one of the great Great War poets, but one who converted to Catholicism as well.
i think experiences like his and eliot's give a lot of support to the Church. it's not just people looking to feel good about themselves or a wishy washy answer to death, it is the ONLY way to face the problems of evil that plague this world so badly. and who can attest better to these problems, than the poets of the Great War and the residue that it left behind?
